Lisboa, 1996

Joana’s work emerges from a documentary-oriented practice that explores how images acquire meaning through transformation, resulting from time-based forms such as repetition and juxtaposition. Moving between analogue and digital processes, she is interested in the relationship between nostalgia, deviation and forms of idealisation.
